How to calculate the jurisdiction of several defendants in different places


You can choose the court where one of the defendants is located to sue. According to the "Civil Procedure Law of the People's Republic of China": Article 21: Civil litigation filed against citizens shall be managed by the people's court where the defendant resides; if the defendant's domicile is inconsistent with his habitual residence, civil litigation filed by the person in the habitual residence against a legal person or other organization shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court where the defendant resides. If several defendants in the same lawsuit have their residences and habitual residences in more than two people's courts, the people's courts have jurisdiction.


Article 22 The following civil litigation shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court where the plaintiff has his domicile; if the plaintiff's domicile is inconsistent with his habitual residence, the people's court where the plaintiff has habitual residence shall have the jurisdiction of the people's court where the plaintiff has habitual residence:


1. Relevant identity relationships raised against persons who do not live within the territory of the People's Republic of China;


2. Litigation related to the identity of a person whose whereabouts are unknown or declared missing;


3. Litigation brought against persons who have been subjected to compulsory educational measures;


4. Litigation filed against imprisoned persons Civil litigation filed against legal persons or other organizations shall be under the jurisdiction of the people's court where the defendant resides. If several defendants in the same lawsuit have their residences and habitual residences in more than two people's courts, the people's courts have jurisdiction.
